I suppose the Honest Hearts version of the same style is my favourite, being dirty and worn to suit a weary and experienced traveler of the wastes. The Riot gear in particular is just too clean and well kept. The gas mask and the trench coat are cool but there's just something off. For the record: I like how F4 handled power armour and really made it FEEL and handle like a powered exoskeleton should unlike F3 and NV.)Īnd for some reason I prefer the Ranger patrol armour to the Elite Ranger / Riot Gear armour. Looks good, comes with a useful backpack (at least the F1 and F2 version) and makes a really good choice up to the moment when you get power armour.

Yes, the regular combat armour that has been in most of the series (I think Tactics didn't have it.) Well, Metal armour at least looks similarly jury rigged by people who only have scraps and junk for materials AND who want to look intimidating.īut if I had to pick just one piece of armour for the entire series that I like the most. They really did fit the Raiders in the games. Because I liked the Mad Max feel in the Raider and Merc clothing but those become obsolete so quickly. I was actually kinda sad when in F3 very first town offered the armoured Vault suit that was better than any of the raider/merc/civilian gear.
